CEMO Newsletter – April 2024
The CEMO team extends our heartfelt gratitude for everyone who joined us on Thursday, March 14 at our first in-person Climate Equity LA Community Assembly! The active participation and engagement were central to making the event a resounding success. We are grateful for the sharing of many valuable perspectives, stories, and experiences throughout the day. We are thrilled to have provided a space for such a diverse and engaged group to convene and learn from each other. We look forward to announcing additional events and opportunities in the near future!
CEMO is now busy planning for our part in LASAN’s Earth Day LA 2024 event on Saturday, April 20, although truly, everyday is Earth Day for CEMO! We also want to share Chief Segura’s reflections on Cesar Chavez’s visionary labor leadership in honor of Cesar Chavez Day, which you can read here: Climate4LA.org/Cesar-Chavez-2024. CEMO will also be gearing up for this summer, and what we now call Heat Season, by preparing our Heat Relief 4 LA Campaign with many City and community leaders.
